Spiel des Jahres

Earlier this month the Spiel des Jahres nomenees were announced. The Spiel des Jahres is in many ways the highest regarded board game award in the industry. The award has always had a high regard in Germany and has come to represent a standard world wide. Spiel des Jahres winners are typically not just this years flash in the pan. Whatever game wins this year will stand with previous winners and industry changers such as Ticket to Ride, Carcassone, Catan and 7 Wonders to name only a few.

This years highlights are Kingdomino: a deceptivly simple drafting and tile laying game about stratigically exploring the building lands and out smart your opponent in strategic placemnt. Magic Maze: a co-operative game of multiple objectives. Ice Cool: A game to give Flick em Up a run for its money as a deterity game for all ages. Starting today, 14/6 we will be selling 3 of this years Spiel des Jahres nomenees at a reduced price, the sale will run though the summer and end in late August.
