The World in the Eye of a Fantasy Artist

This is not simply a book of scene illustrations. Techniques of designs and depictions of landscapes aside, what I saw and heard in my collection of drawing materials is also available here to providereaders, from a traveller’s perspective, with an opportunity to experience cultures behinddifferent scenes. From “Beijing” to “Dubai” and then to “the Maldives”, the book shows readers three entirely different landscapes– an “ancient city”, a “desert”, and finally, a “sea island”, together with their climate conditions and historical and cultural vicissitudes. In this series of paintings, I have put down what I have encountered during my travels. In the fantasy designs, I have expressed my own feelings and ideas. Through colour matches and treatment of light and shade, I have attempted to capture the most impressive memories.
