Still reeling from the loss of a treasured relationship, I’m thrown into a fresh vat of revelations. Turns out, I’m not just a regular demigod, but one that has royal asura blood in her veins.

As the last of the royal lineage, I have a claim to the throne.

I can change things. I can make a difference. I can free the drohi and all the beings that the gods have under their control…

The seat of power awaits in the Shahee Kshestra, and I won’t be going alone. Araz, my drohi, my reluctant anchor, will be going with me. Bodyguard, protector, companion and…maybe even a friend? But nothing more, because once I ascend our deal will be done, and I’ll be forced to set him free.

I can’t risk giving him my heart, no matter how much I ache to hand it to him. Because now that he’s no longer against me, now that his golden eyes burn with longing, not contempt, maintaining a boundary is going to be near impossible.
