RWBY (pronounced "Ruby") is an original American anime-inspired web-series, created and directed by animator Monty Oum for Rooster Teeth Productions. Set in a modern world where monsters and supernatural forces continue to threaten mankind, the series focuses on four girls - each with their own unique weapon and powers. The girls become a team while in training at the Beacon Academy in the city of Vale, and carry on the ages-old battle of survival against the shadowy creatures of the Grimm, using the power of Dust to fight back the monsters with their magical abilities.
