Japanese animated feature written and directed by Makoto Shinkai. When a comet falls for the first time in a millennium, two children begin to feel bonded through their dreams, even though they have never met. Mitsuha (voice of Mone Kamishiraishi) is a country girl who longs for the energy of the city; Taki (Ryûnosuke Kamiki) is an academic living in the city with his friends.
But when each dreams about being more like the other, these lines begin to blur...
