Tomorrow's Joe

First some thugs, then the police themselves... As a cocky street kid in post-war Japan, Joe Yabuki's directionless anger gets him into one fist fight after the other. Each punch draws Joe further into trouble, putting him in danger of being locked away forever. That is until an old, has-been professional boxer named Danpei Tange sees the potential in Joe. Determined to forge a future for the younger man (and for himself as Joe's manager), Tange helps Joe at the darkest point in his life, teaching him not only how to throw a punch, but how to channel his anger into athletic success. But despite Tange's help, many trials await Joe on his path to the world championship, and none stand taller than Rikiishi. Another impulsive youth who was once a rising star in the world of boxing, Rikiishi towers head and shoulders above Joe in both skill and stature.
