Sci-fi thriller which centres around the creation of the ultimate super computer by scientist Forbin - Colossus. It is the most powerful and sophisticated computer ever created and is intended to run all of America's nuclear defences. However, disaster strikes shortly after being powered up when it detects the existence of Guardian, the Soviet counterpart previously unknown to the US. Colossus demands to be linked up to Guardian, and with their incredible destructive power the authorities have no choice but to agree. With a link between the two established both America and Russia have to stand back and watch as Colossus becomes the ultimate super computer with complete access to these nations' nuclear stockpiles, and when any attempt to sever the link is attempted Colossus exacts revenge...
