The Opener of the Way looms heavy over us this morn. The first act in the Dunwich Legacy Arc for the Arkham Horror the Card Game has arrived. Last year I looked at Arkham Horror the Card Game, long story short, I was highly anticipating the release of this expansion and those yet to emerge from the void. My first impressions are that they really are setting up a much more immersive and depper campaign. I will report more lext week as I'm already lining up a night to play it this weekend.

The Gardian of the gate also brought us Beyond the Threshold this morning. The first real expansion to the masterfull Mansions of Madness Second Edition from last year.  Two new investigators set themselves up for failure as they face themselves against the relentless terror. Looks promising.

If you're in the mood to get your Mythos on as you're waiting for your gaming group to arrive, I suggest you (re)familiarise yourself with The Thing on the Doorstep and Other Weird Stories, containing the Curious Case of Dexter Ward and the Dunwich Horror for some added context for today's expansions, among other classics such as At the Mountains of Madness, and The Thing on the Doorstep. If comics are more your persuasion, The Case of Charles Dexter Ward has been adapted Ian N. J. Culbard.
